Kevin Kerchner was named President – Gilbreth Packaging in May, 2007.
Kevin has 30 years of experience in plastics, specialty films, and packaging
sectors. His extensive industrial experience includes senior leadership positions
in both public and privately held companies. They include CET Films, where he was
VP & General Manager; VPI, where he was Division General Manager; and,
Smurfit Plastic Packaging, holding a variety of financial, planning, and senior
operating positions including Division General Manager.
A graduate of Eastern Illinois University, Kevin also holds an MBA
degree from Butler University (Indiana).
Brian joined Gilbreth Packaging in Sep 2003 as controller.
Brian has 30 years of experience serving in various financial and operational leadership roles. Brian has 15 years of label, packaging and printing experience including positions as Controller for Rexam Medical Packaging and Burgoyne Greeting Cards.
A graduate of Rowan University with a degree in Business Admin/Finance, Brian also holds an MBA from Monmouth University.
Jim Insel joined Gilbreth Packaging in March, 2005.
Jim has 25 years of experience in specialty chemicals, resins, films and film conversion prior to spending the last 8+ years in the label segment focused on shrink sleeve labels. His early career was spent in regulatory compliance and product management before building a strong portfolio of business development and sales & marketing management. Companies served prior to Gilbreth include GAF Corporation, Honeywell International (formerly Allied-Signal) and American Fuji Seal.
A graduate of the University of Delaware, Jim also holds an MBA degree from Rutgers University (New Jersey).
Alan Wolk joined Gilbreth Packaging in February, 2004 as V.P. of Operations
Alan has 35 years of operational experience in packaging with Sonoco Flexible Packaging, where he was Plant Manager; American Fuji Seal, where he was U.S. Operations Manager; and Seal-It where he was V.P. - Operations. Alan currently leads all operations, engineering & maintenance, graphics and purchasing functions at Gilbreth. He has extensive knowledge in all aspects of the shrink film industry and leads Gilbreth’s efforts in insuring successful customer start-ups on new shrink film projects. Alan has extensive knowledge on all shrink film application equipment and works closely with all suppliers to coordinate new customer projects.
Alan is a graduate of Youngstown State University. Affiliations include GAA, PLGA and FTA.
Heather Hennessey joined Gilbreth in 2006 and was named Director QA & EHS in March, 2007.
She has an extensive background in the pharmaceutical and biomedical industry, working as a Validation Scientist and Project Manager consultant for Day & Zimmerman International, Inc. Prior to joining Gilbreth, she held the position of Senior Technical Services Associate at MedImmune Vaccines, Inc. Heather currently leads Gilbreth’s commitment to quality, health & safety through the supervision of daily quality and production routines, development and maintenance of all controlled documentation and facility metrics and facilitation of customer request and inquiry resolution as well as her active involvement as a senior manager.
Heather holds degrees in the fields of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and is affiliated with AQS, ACS and PDA.
Theresa Sykes joined Gilbreth in 2004 as Product Development Manger and was named Director of Commercial Development in July of 2007.
She has an extensive background in the Films, Inks, Coatings, and Packaging applications. Prior to joining Gilbreth Theresa was a Senior Chemist for Dunmore Corporation and as a Custom Product Engineer for Avery Dennison's Specialty Products Division. Theresa is instrumental in leading the development of new product for Gilbreth. In her tenure with Gilbreth, she has helped to bring PLA, PETG LV, Iridescent film, and Gilbreth's embossed films to the Shrink Sleeve market. In her current position, she is providing technical assistance and support to the sales and marketing efforts. Theresa is also responsible for website content, technical papers, and presentations to advocate and educate about innovation and sustainability within the label industry.
Theresa holds a B.S in Biology/Chemistry from York College of Pennsylvania and a MBA from Philadelphia University.
Brian Garnett joined Gilbreth Packaging in 1986 and has held several key operating assignments. He was appointed Plant Manager in November, 2009.
Brian’s expertise includes both Rotogravure and Flexo printing processes. Along with Alan Wolk, he has led key operating initiatives to improve efficiencies and reduce waste through continuous improvement processes.
Brian participates in several industry associations including PLGA, GAA and FTA.
